It wasn't really like I thought it would be. I had a really high expectations for this book but when I got a chance to read it it was just a 'meh'. It was good but I just think they could've done something a bit different to it since this book was a start to a whole new series. But yes, it was good and you should pick it up anyway if you got a chance, i personal heard tons of hypes for this and it turned out it wasn't really like that. If you want to you can hear my full review in an upcoming video so stay tune :)

Great start to the series and loved seeing Barry go about honing the speedforce by himself and also facing the consequences of his actions.

It was great. The only bad thing about it was that it didn't continue with the Flashpoint Flash. Hopefully in the next one

Should be a 3.5 . The art is beautiful and the book stays true to the character but the story lurches about in stops and starts. A little hard to follow but glad to see they're updating the characters.

I adore the Flash! He is my favourite superhero ever! And I really enjoy reading The Flash. New 52. I like the art style so much, the only thing i am not so happy about is Patty. I mean, I like Iris more and can't help it. I hope that Barry will be with her too.
(But, you know, in the tv show I prefer Patty, she is so cute and adorable...weird)

Having never read any of Flash's comics before, and with my intro to Green Lantern being so disappointing, I honestly had no idea what was in store here. Thankfully I ended up pleasantly surprised with this one.

I'm in love with the art style! It's a lot less ... harsh? than a lot of superhero comics and sets it apart from the rest of the New 52. As the series progresses, it starts to look more like a cartoon than a comic, but I don't mean that in a bad way. It's not easy drawing a character like The Flash and giving him so much life and movement on a still page, but [a:Manapul|184607|Francis Manapul|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1307748756p2/184607.jpg] and [a:Buccellato|573149|Brian Buccellato|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] manage it beautifully.

The Flash is an easily likeable character, maybe because he feels like a less uptight Superman to me. I'm also enjoying his supporting cast (although I'm a bit over the whole "my loved one can't know who I really am" trope), and also Captain Cold is such a Mr. Freeze ripoff (but I'll admit I don't know who came first!)

I thought maybe I'd have to slog through this one but then ended up with a completely different outcome. I'm sticking with this series and am actually eager to continue.

Not completely with the storyline at points, it felt like they were attempting to stick as much original Flash comic stuff in to appeal to the comic fans, but it felt really confusing to me as a new reader. Even though it was a fun read I think I'll stick to the show from now on.
