After finishing Part 1 of A Storm of Swords of course I was going to carry on with Part 2. Such a great book, and such a great series. It just continues to blow me away.

This half of A Storm of Swords is an absolute rollercoaster of a journey, with shock after shock after shock. The hits just kept on coming. The pace and events unfolding was relentless, and I absolutely loved it!

Wow, the build up of all the previous books payed off in this epic, non-stop dramatic book. So much stuff happens that changes the trajectory going forward. Definitely a favourite, and a best of the series so far

i don’t really know. this isn’t a happy book - obviously. but it is compelling and interesting and i’ve come to care for some of the characters, especially arya, sansa, daenerys, jon and sam.

like i said in the earlier note i made - this works well for a comfort read for me, because i generally have a pretty solid gist of what is going to happen book to book, without knowing exact details.
