Oh, this is exactly what I look for in a Sherlock Holmes adventure. Mystery, mishap, twists, turns, and something grotesque that turns out to be perfectly logical and explainable. Still as good as I remembered it being.

My first ever Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes. I really enjoyed this novel and I especially loved the old English way of speaking. Something about it is just so fun to read. I couldn't have guessed the villain or several other plot points of this novel. It was a quick, easy, and enjoyable read.
