Re-read for work. Possibly using next year for a lesson. Always good to revisit a favorite.

One of the great Watson adventures (Holmes is rather secondary in this one!), beautifully narrated by Derek Jacobi.
Moderate: Death
I didn't expect what would happen at the end at all!! Overall the book was pretty good!

About halfway through the book, it occurred to me why I had been so disappointed in the Sherlock Holmes' mysteries I had been reading. My first introduction to Holmes' had been through Hound as a young child - and this story was told mostly from Holmes' point of view, who is actually a likable character who one can is actually thinking and figuring things out on his own.
As opposed to Holmes, who is largely and arrogant, insulting ass who, the more one reads of his stories, you realize isn't really all the smart - its just simply the author failed to tell the reader important details along the way.
If I had remembered the POV of this story, I probably wouldn't have wasted time reading the other works of Doyle.
