I really just don't like this authors way of telling stories. It feels like I'm an outsider looking in rather than experiencing a story
A beautifully written, fantastical story (or rather, intertwining stories). I immensely enjoyed the first part of the book, and I love the lyrical, fairytale-like writing, but towards the end, it got a bit too trippy for me. I'm not saying that doesn't fit the book and I still liked the final ending, but in my opinion, the quieter parts are where this book really shines.

I found this book so incredibly boring. I feel like I could not tell you most of the book plot wise. It really dragged and I disliked it
I like the vibe/aesthetic of this book, the premise was really interesting, and the prose is often beautiful. But that’s where the pros end, unfortunately. It REALLY dragged and if you were to ask me what actually happened in this book I’d have a hard time telling you. It felt like what reading Twin Peaks would be like, but without any of the humor and charm.
