Very annoying flat characters. Even the potential for a fun setting was not enough to keep from dnfing.

After the makeout scene, where Anna is a bit standoffish with Jake and bringing up those insecurities again, pissing Jake off (purposely for, like, the 5th time) I could not take it anymore. It's conflict for the sake of conflict, and I just thought it was a lazy way to write enemies-to-lovers.
medium-paced

It honestly took me a while to get into this book, but once I was in the mood, it was smooth sailing. I absolutely adore this book. I'm a sucker for the forced-proximity trope. The only gripe I have is that the author paired Anna's dad and Jake's mom. It just felt icky and weird to think about.

Very easy reading. Very sexy. Very funny. A few annoying aspects that are characteristc of the genre but overall, super enjoyable.
