It was a quick and stimulating read. I actually enjoyed this compared to some well-known books (which of course I rated 1 star). I was speculating at first what the creature of the dark really was (Army guys? Lone stranger? A fellow villager?), because maybe it was just the villagers' overactive imagination. The ending was disappointing but realistic .
