Thank you so much for the ARC of this book. Ivy Smoak and her Empire High series is what got me back into reading a few years ago and I swear I will read anything she writes!!

I’m not kidding when I say I could not put this book down. It was such a cute story and I loved being back in The Empire High world where there were many crossover of characters as well as so many new ones from all of her series. Getting a glimpse into Scarlets story had me giddy and I can not wait for the next book… I need it like now!!

I need book 2. I loved this one and can't get enough of all the situations those kids go through. Scarlett and Sophie have absolutely always the craziest plans and they never turn like they should, but always end up making the situation even worse.

RJ and Liam? You are supposed to be awkward in high school, you can't be so good at school social life.

Was a fun lighthearted read

This had me laughing out loud 🤣
It was fun seeing Scarlett go through her awkward high school phase with her two love interests, Jacob and Axel. And to see them grow up !
Scarlett was relateable for pinning crushes and having strict parents!
I can’t wait to see what happens in Scarlett and the Fake boyfriend!

Tropes
High school
Friends to lovers
Love triangle
Angst
Slow burn

I am giving it 4 stars because I didn’t like the cliffhanger and I wanted to know more.

I absolutely loves this storyline. It is humorous as well as a romantic cute adventure for the main character.

First thing I have to say is that Scarlet and Sophie remind me so much of Ash and Chasity. Also, Sophie and RJ are so much like Rob but with Daphne’s picky eater tendencies which I will admit that I have too. I love that we get so many character cameos and mentions, plus we meet new characters. Also, we learn that Scarlet is not allowed to read Penny’s books until she’s eighteen and we learn that it called The Hunted series, which I love. I can’t decide who I love Jacob or Axel but based on this book I would say Jacob, especially since Tanner has said multiple times that they would be good together. I love that RJ and Liam are friends like how Sophie and Scarlet are. Of course James is the strict parent while Rob is the laid back, still using chocolate pudding for pranks, parent. Also, for some reason, I think the kiss thief is Axel maybe. I love that while Scarlet has been crushing on Axel while Sophie is crushing and trying to seduce their teacher, Mr. Halifax. Of course, James is the most talked about teacher at Empire High and they barely started the new school year. I love this book world and it’s crazy seeing all the kids grown up. I can’t wait to find out who the kids thief is or who Scarlet ends up with. Also, I can’t wait for Sophie’s series, based on she is in this book, I know it will be a wild ride.

📚✨ REVIEW ✨📚
Scarlett and the Kiss Thief by @ivysmoakauthor
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 (4.75/5 stars)

Scarlett has never been kissed—until a mysterious kiss thief starts pulling her into dark closets for bone-melting, brain-frying kisses. 😳💋

Meanwhile, she’s trying to win the attention of her forever crush Axel with Operation Too Hot to Handle 🔥… but childhood friend Jacob suddenly looks like a serious contender too. Cue the love square and major swoon. 💘💘💘

Scarlett’s voice is so real and relatable—she’s just a normal girl with a big crush and a hilarious inner monologue. Her bond with cousin/BFF Sophie is absolute goals. 👯‍♀️ Zero competition, all chaos and support.

I was torn between all three love interests (which never happens to me), and I devoured the mystery around the kiss thief. His scenes? Whew. Sexy in that intense, swoony, arm-pinning kind of way. 🖤🔥

This book gave me “The Princess Diaries but make it way more risqué” vibes, and I was 100% here for it—even if I’m a little older than the target demo. 🙈

Now I’m counting down the days until the sequel drops on July 24th!
