This is the first book in a new series. I had not read the earlier books that featured the parents of these teenagers so most of the parental moments are lost on me. I understand being a parent and wanting to protect your children but I can assume the parental characters weren’t so chaste in their books. Our MFC Scarlett is a senior in high school. She has had a major crush on Axel for forever. But, this is her year. She has gotten rid of her eyeglasses and is now wearing contact lenses, her skirts are definitely shorter (above her knee) and she bought a pair of heels that she put on in the school. [This is so familiar to me since I had a friend do the same exact thing, change her shoes on the school bus😆] Scarlett’s plan Operation Too Hot To Handle is set to commence to make Axel her boyfriend. However, Axel isn’t really thrilled with the new Scarlett, he liked the old one. Whereas, Jacob thinks she’s beautiful and he’s so complimentary. Does Scarlett like both boys? Which guy is the right one for her? And who gave Scarlett her very first kiss? This book does end with a cliffhanger so we have to read the next book to find out who kissed Scarlett.

"We've got this. It's a classic Hunter Hunter mess around,"

Finally we're getting the Empire High/Hunted Series next generation!
Scarlett reminds me so much of Penny it's unreal. And you can absolutely tell that Sophie and RJ are Rob's kids

This book made me happy. The contrast between the shy, innocent girl, and the confident, well versed guy was enduring. I love that she does what she never thought she would and kisses a man that she doesn't even know who he is or what he looks like. The fact that he very much knew who she was is fantastic. I enjoyed her journey of trying to uncover his identity. Watching her become more confident in herself throughout the journey was great. I definitely enjoyed reading this book.

Teen girl angst, a mystery kisser, & a lifelong crush. A high school disaster waiting to happen!
This book was just too fun to put down. I'm a sucker for that high school angst and drama. It takes me back, waaaay back. But in a fun way.
Scarlett, Sophie, Jacob, and Axel have been friends since they were toddlers. Scarlett & Sophie are actually cousins and the boys are just close family friends. Scarlett has had a lifelong crush on Axel and her senior year is finally the time she's going to make sure he knows it.
But wait... suddenly Jacob is on a new radar. Axel who? Maybe?
But wait, there's more... a secret kiss thief that Scarlett can't identify - but texts her.
Now she's torn between the boy she's crushed on her whole life, her friend she's seeing in a new romantic way, and her mystery guy that she texts with - that happens to be an excellent kisser.
I loved this, I couldn't put it down, and I'm crushed that it ended in a major cliffhanger!
Here's to hoping book 2 arrives soon!

I loved this book my first read by the author but definitely not my last I mean how cute is Scarlett and brother Ian lord he's gonna break hearts with his cousin RJ one day. But back to Scarlett our sweet and totally helpless teenager she has dreamed of her Senior year being perfect finally noticed by the clueless Axel and she and her cousin Sophia a real handful that one have the perfect plan until GiGi ruins it and then Axel dosen't seem receptive but someone else notices Jacob could he be any sweeter had a crush on her forever then theres the Kiss Thief stealing Scarlett's first and just when Scarlett is sure she knows who it is it all gets turned upside down so who is the dirty Kiss Thief who has Scarletts heart I'm on team Jacob but this book ends in a cliffhanger and I cant wait for book 2.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review

Sweet seventeen and never been kissed but this was Scarlett Hunter’s year, and she knew just who she wanted her first to be, Axel Stevens, the boy she’d grown up with, who she’d loved since she was three. She was tired of waiting for him to make a move and now sans her new contact lenses, heels, and short skirt she was about to take control of her destiny…. If only someone hadn’t stolen it out of her hands or perhaps that should be lips but who was it? Axel? Jacob? Or some other teenage boy who has lusted after her from afar. Does she have a secret admirer or is it a stalker, there’s a thin line between the two, so she better hurry up and figure it out before her uber protective dad finds out.

I’m surprised by just how much I loved this book; it had me smiling throughout my read. I might not have gone to a school like Empire High but lets face it the obligatory mean girls are universal no matter what kind of school you attend and Scarlett and the Kiss Thief brought back so many memories of rolling up my school skirt the minute  I was out of the house and more importantly out of my dad’s sight. I also loved Scarlett’s relationship with Sophie who was definitely a ‘ride or die’ kind of friend and every girl needs to have a bestie like her to take you out of your comfort zone and  give you that shove just when its needed and as for their younger brothers… well I don’t know whether to applaud their ingenuity or fear what they’ll be capable of as they get older.  I just know I’ll be stalking Ivy Smoak to find out when the next book will be released. I can’t wait to read more of Scarlett’s adventures in love.

Sophie is an insane character. This has actually prompted me to read their parents books. Her dad is so chill and I'm wondering if he's just as insane as she is when he was younger.
I laughed a lot reading this. And it was mostly because of the insane hijinks from Hunter Hunter.
The biggest twist this book could have is if the Kiss Thief is not the person I think it is. I'm going to be impatiently waiting for book 2.
Thanks to Greys Promo and Ivy for the ARC!
