Sigh.

I didn't read the first book because my library doesn't own it and some reviews I saw elsewhere said it could be read as a standalone. I kinda disagree with that because the two main characters from that first book were brought up pretty often and referenced important scenes I feel would have been better "living" through with the character.

There were parts of this story that made me want to keep reading. There were other parts that made really irritated. Like Trever disregarding Liz's not wanting kids. And when he started counting her birth control pills... That's a giant sized red flag to me.

Until Trevor Audio
4.5 stars
Until Trevor (Until #2) by Aurora Rose Reynolds
Adult Contemporary. Interconnected Standalones (brothers)
At the time I write this review, I had already listened to Until Lilly after this. So it has been a while since I listened to this, and I honestly don't have a lot of detail memory. But Until Trevor deserves a review, because I LOVED it.
QUOTE MARKI know it's fucked up, but she's it." He raised a brow at me. "I knew from the minute I saw her."

"She's your boom." He nodded in understanding.

"Yeah."

I am listening the Until Series completely on audiobook. Until November, the first in this series, was ruined a bit by the audiobook performance, because the female narrator spoke the male parts in a horrible, very unsexy accent, even though I really loved the story. This was not the case at all with Until Trevor. This one had male and female narrators, and the male had a HOT voice, and was the same narrator I have fallen for in other books.

Until Trevor was my first male/female audiobook. I expected it to be more like a play, but it wasn't. She read the chapters from her POV, and he read his. So when they did have to quote the other one, they did have to change their voices for the male/female parts. I was totally OK with this, and it worked great.

We met Trevor and Liz in Until November and we watched them get closer. But when they got super close, Trevor assumed he was corrupting her innocence and totally pulled away, breaking her heart. Now that some time had passed, and other guys are showing interest, Trevor realized the error of his ways and chases them all away. He can't get his mind off of Liz, but he knows he totally, royally fucked up.
QUOTE MARKI’m going to be your best friend.”

Good try, but he lets her know pretty quickly that he wants more.
QUOTE MARKThis is going to happen."

"What?" I ask, my eyebrows drawn together in confusion. His finger comes up and skims down the center of my face, forehead to chin.

"You and I, we're going to happen.”

Yup, Trevor is a perfect sexy alphahole. And as much as Liz protests, she wants him just as badly. But she isn't willing to risk her heart on him again. I love that Liz had a backbone and gave him shit. Even more, I love that she is a reader!
QUOTE MARKAll my life I have been reading romance novels. Those stupid books ruined me. I’ve always wanted that fire that every book I ever read talks about.”

I love this series, because when an alpha Mason brother falls, he falls hard....
QUOTE MARKJesus. I love you so fucking much; you would think I was growing a vagina.”

I was listening to it in a hotel while I was in the shower so it was pretty loud. Let me tell you, I hope there were no kids nearby, because holy hell! Aurora can write HOT!

Likes:

  • •Had all the ingredients of a perfect book for me.

  • •Posessive caveman alpha.

  • •LOVED the narrators (audiobook)

  • •Totally hot sex. Boy did Trevor love to go downtown!

  • •Visiting with the characters from Until November.

  • •The build-up for Until Lilly.

  • •Great secondary characters

Dislikes:

  • •Trevor was sometimes a little too over-the-top weirdly possessive.

  • •Some strange time jumps that threw me off, especially if I had to start and stop.

Rating: 4.5 stars, 4.75 Heat

The Down and Dirty:
The audiobook narration was my favorite of any audiobook so far. Trevor was completely sexy, and a total alpha. There was great, hot sex, wonderful secondary characters, and a completely likable heroine. While I didn't love Trevor as much as the other brothers, I still thought he was pretty great. But Cash, sigh...well, my review for that one comes later this week.

This was another one of Aurora's easy and drama-filled romance reads. The characters were super funny and had all the flaws of a gut-wrenching romance. I loved the characters in the book and the witty female. I think the book had more potential for an in-depth storyline but it was an easy and quick read.

Man oh man. I thought Asher from Until November was hot, but he is nothing compared to Trevor. I thought I loved Asher, but Trevor....man. Yeah he is now my favorite Mayson boy. Yes he is a possessive caveman just like his brothers, but I still love it. Aurora Rose Reynolds sure knows how to write her guys so I just melt into the floor. Really I feel like Trevor could have done anything and I would just say okay, that's fine, do whatever you want.

This book is a little different from the other two I have read. We don't really see the beginning of Trevor and Liz. We don't really see the boom moment, the moment Trevor realizes Liz is his. They start of as friends and spend a lot of time together apparently. They talked every day and just were there for each other, until that fateful night. Trevor breaks and they start making out, but when Liz says something that makes Trevor think she is a virgin he immediately withdraws. He is afraid of his feelings and thinks Liz is too pure and innocent for him and his player ways. He doesn't even let her explain what she says he just kicks her out and tries to move on with someone else. He tries to use other women to erase her, but it doesn't work. This story starts right when Trevor is trying to not go after Liz. When he is trying to move on, but can't.

Liz has fallen on some hard times. Her brother has stollen all of her savings so if she doesn't get a second job she will lose her store she loves. She goes to Big Mike to work at his strip club, and even though he is against it he lets her be a waitress and nothing more. He doesn't want her to go somewhere else where he can't keep an eye on her. Well this doesn't last long as once Trevor finds out she is working there that is it. It is then he decides that Liz is his and they are going to work this out and make it work. I really love his this is happening whether you want it to or not thing. Liz is a bit reluctant to try something with Trevor as he hurt her last time things went beyond friends, so she wants to remain friends. Of course this doesn't last long as Trevor doesn't really try to be just friends with her. He wants her as his woman and that is what he is going to get. I loved it. I loved how sweet and kind and caring he was with Liz.

I loved Liz as well. She gave it right back when Trevor tried to be all this is the way it is. She didn't just immediately cave to him when he came trying to get her back. She sticks up for herself and can be a little wild herself. The whole thing with Jen was hilarious! I was just like you go Liz! So really I loved them both. They were perfect for each other. There is the external drama they have to deal with, but nothing that breaks them up or causes them to be apart. I do love that about these books. Once they are both on board nothing can break them apart. It seems like a lot of other books have the everything is wonderful, then something happens and they break up, then they find their way back to each other. Not with Aurora Rose Reynolds and here amazing alpha men. They know what they want and they get it. Love it. Loved Trevor, loved Liz, loved this book. It was even better than the other two.

Loved it even more!
I love how every book is connected! (obviously apart from the fact that they're all stories about four brothers!) Like how the premise to the next book is already present in the previous book!
I also love how Aurora Rose she writes about the family. I love the familial interactions! It's interesting.

Where can I find my very own Mayson brother? Seriously the testosterone is strong in these guys. ARR knows how to do Alpha male right! Like I've said over and over in my other reviews I'm not usually a fan of insta-love in books but the way that ARR does it is sweet and realistic. In fact I'm not even sure if I would classify it as that because it's more of the Mayson men being aware of "the curse" and understanding when it hits them. They go for it because they are open to it and then we get to watch them fall and oh baby when they fall.....

Asher is still my fav, so far, but I wouldn't turn Trevor away!

Some of the drama that took place regarding Liz's brother was a little bit out there for me and parts of the story seemed a bit rushed but all that alpha totally makes up for it!

If you love hot, tattooed, uber alpha males and sweet but strong females and HOT, STEAMY Sex then you don't want to miss out on this series!!

*I received a ARC from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Funny but like the previous book, they fell in love too quickly and I would have like more drama ><

Even though I love all the Mayson brothers and their ladies Trevor and Liz are the couple that stick out to me the least. Not sure what it is about their story that didn't connect with me as much as the others but I just didn't get into it as much. Still loved them of course just not as much as the others.

Aurora Rose Reynolds has a way of writing alphas that are over the top, but you can't help but love. Trevor Mayson certainly falls into that category! He and Liz have that instant BOOM that Reynolds is known for, but their relationship hits bumps along the way.

I really enjoyed reading Trevor and Liz's story!
