I loved the first book....gave it 5 stars. This book wasn't bad but not exciting either. It was difficult to stay interested. I did love the sexy times and thought they were exciting/descriptive.

I got to say that I didn't love this one. I think I liked the first novel more, even though that one had more faults. This one just didn't have that much intrigue. There were few surprises in this story and no plot that was overly compelling. I think the biggest driving factor for me to read this book was just that I had already met the characters in the first book. It was a pretty quick read so there wasn't ever really a point where I really wanted to quit, but then there was never really a point where I couldn't put the book down either.

I will say that the author certainly did a better job editing this time around. The book was better written, but still stayed true the author's style. Just as with the last book, the characters were one of the best parts of the novel. They were fun and entertaining. Just the right amount of drama and humor when it was necessary.

The jump in time annoys me a lot
And Trevor are an ass a lot of times. Not sexy bossy but more asshole and controlling.

I haven't read the first book in the series so I'm not sure if any of initial friendship and potential hookup is addressed there, here we get the story as the hero has some sort of epiphany. I found it all quite confusing and mixed up initially. The H is suppposed to be uber-alpha type, but its a fine line between alpha and douchebag. Here the H definately veered towards the controlling, selfish douche side.
