Rounded up from 3.5 stars.
Slow to get into but the mid section of the book was really pacey and fun, although dark.

Updated review: I reread this and struggled with the MC and her graphic and often vulgar intimate behaviour, I love dark, weird and serial killer type books, but so many elements of this story during the reread I struggled with - the characters depth, the humour wasn't there as much for me and the ending irked me!

********** June 2022 review********
4.5 ⭐️ read! This book is NOT for the faint-hearted.

This book definitely has vibes of American Psycho meets Fleabag!

<b>SYNOPSIS</b>
<i>"Rhiannon is your average girl next door, settled with her boyfriend and little dog…but she’s got a killer secret.

Although her childhood was haunted by a famous crime, Rhiannon’s life is normal now that her celebrity has dwindled. By day, her job as an editorial assistant is demeaning and unsatisfying. By evening, she dutifully listens to her friends’ plans for marriage and babies while secretly making a list.

A kill list.

From the man at the grocery checkout who always mishandles her apples, to the driver who cuts her off on her way to work, to the people who have it coming, Rhiannon is ready to get her revenge.

Because the girl everyone overlooks might be able to get away with murder…"</i>

<b>WHAT I LOVED</b>

🔪 Rhiannon is one of the best characters I've read in a long time, she's hilarious and utterly disturbing.

🔪  Skuse's ability to have me laughing in one sentence and completely repulsed in the next is unbelievable.

🔪 The gruesome violence wasn't just for violence's sake, it was so entrenched in Rhiannon's story and need for vengeance.

🔪 Oh my god, Craig, Rhiannon's partner, I loved to HATE him.

🔪 The victims, they kinda deserved it! It's fictional, don't come for me.

🔪 I was gripped from page 1 until the very end.  HOWEVER, I would say at times this is hard to binge because of how dark and twisted it does get.

🔪  That a book can make me start to wonder if I have psychopathic tendencies (JK) I mean there are many on her regular kill list that made sense if you ask me 😂

This book is indeed not for everyone but if you love truly dark humour, and graphic violence, with a protagonist you can't help but love (despite her actions) this book is for you!

LOTS of trigger warnings to check out before picking this one up though.
