This book is for anyone who is struggling with the voice and efforts at work, regardless of how good they are in their current organisation.
By giving simple examples of how a person and make art and GIVE away that art in a workplace, Seth explains how we BUILD a linchpin self from our simle working self and GROW that power into excellent work and great results.
Good food for thought.

While this book is especially focused on the business world, if you need some inspiration to view life and work through the lens of creativity, gift-giving, and making a difference, this book will offer you just that!

Pretty motivating without being too preachy. Easy to read and digest.

I love a good personal growth book. This book teaches/walks you through being irreplaceable at work and being the linchpin. This person is who every boss wants to hire, and every employee wants to be. (At least I do!!) it’s honestly helped me rethink the way people work and how to relate to my day job and coworkers!! Highly recommend if you’re struggling at work!

I like Seth, but... Dude, we get it! Take a page out of Jason Fried's book (no pun intended) and condense! This would have been much better - and certainly easier to digest - if he had eliminated 94% of the redundant droning and made it a 15 page manifesto.

Good thoughts about bringing "emotional artistic labor" to your work. Last couple chapters are great when he gets practical. The rest seems to be blogging.

ahh Seth Godin at his finest! love this book. so many pages underlined. almost too dense to take it all in at once. couldn't agree more with his thoughts on the school system, art as a gift, and so many more. will be coming back to this one often.
