Review
Raven Monroe, musical prodigy, almost dies in a viscous attack on campus of an elite university. Four years later, she returns to commence her studies but she has been mute since the attack. She goes on a journey of discovering the university’s secrets, the details about her four attackers and embarks on the road to revenge. Along the way she picks up three guys who truly, deeply fawn over her.

Jonas Anderson - the jock, football player, good guy, cares for Monroe so deeply. Love him.
Maverick Harrington - the hot professor, mid-thirties, former FBI agent. Rough and harsh but very intriguing.
Dr. Damon Archer - the therapist who followed her to university, completely obsessed and probably the reddest flag of her three men.

Monroe is a very strong FMC who doesn’t let anything stop her. I found her compelling, enjoyed how she recovered from her attack and slowly began finding her voice again, literally and figuratively.

The secret society is probably my main point of critique. They make their initiates and younger member do atrocious things, but at the end of the day, they are just a conglomeration of powerful men and not much else in explained (yet?).

I also definitely have some suspicions about a certain character but I’ll see where the story goes in book two.
The spice is plentiful and overall hot but it gets a bit repetitive after a while.

I can only recommend listening to this on audio. Joe Arden. The master. He voices all three MMCs and brilliantly gives them all a distinctive voice and personality.
