I really thought I would enjoy this, but it was way below my expectations. I didn’t feel any connection with any of the characters and in all honesty, I was just reading to finish it.
This is actually my first time reading this classic. I can’t say I loved it and it could be because I’m not getting the nostalgia most people are expressing in the reviews. I found it kind of boring. I’m sure if my family had decided to include this book into traditions, I would love rereading this book every year at Christmas. Either way, it wasn’t anything exciting and the lesson seemed too quickly learned.
