My first Dickens book and it's sure not to be my last. Did you know he was so desperate for money that he had to write this book in order to survive? Interesting tidbit. His wording doesn't scare many younger readers which is a good thing as its a book worth reading.

It's a 4 for the story. I still hate Dickens' prose. I get that he was paid by the word, but every single book of his feels the need to remind me of that constantly.

A wonderful timeless story showing us that it is never to late to see the error of our ways and change for the better. May we all have a Merry Christmas (or whatever winter holiday you observe) and move forward always endeavoring to better ourselves to the benefit of mankind.
