This gives a glimpse into many people, all loosely connected and mostly Black British women. It showed the diversity of experiences regarding race, sexuality, aging, and family. Great characters, but by the end I forgot who was who! It also had about 5 characters too many, I'd say. It got quite long and sloggy for me, although each character was totally unique and interesting. I did not think the 'poetic' style worked--the lack of periods made parts confusing and the line breaks were scattered and mostly didn't add anything.
