I was willing to give this 3 stars and then the last 10% was ridiculous and unnecessary. Very uncomfortable, and pointless.

ok so this is what happens when you put an entire library catalog on random sort and read the first book that comes up. I'd give it maybe a 1.5 or 2 but I don't want to be mean and drag the average rating down. learning about rodeo was interesting so I'll give it that! but I didn't think the characters were particularly 3-dimensional and the plot wrapped up weirdly, like some things got resolved a little too neatly that I thought shouldn't have been resolved at all, and vice versa.
