This was pretty good! Just wish the cover was a little bit more serious, as it does not fit the old money vibe of the book at all.

It was interesting and kept me engaged while I was reading. I love rich people drama and I love absolutely crazy and detached rich people as well. It may not have been the best thriller ever but it was fun and gave the same vibes as the Knives out movie - though some have said that it's a direct rip off so be aware of that.

Interesting premise, I like the suspense, but it feels like the main character spends half of the story on the phone or listening to tape records. Each phone conversation and tape-recorded monologue last nearly an entire chapter. It gets annoying fast.

It was a slow start and the payoff wasn't satisfying. I didn't enjoy the characters and found the protagonist to be especially annoying. Her motivations seemed flimsy and I failed to buy in to her decisions.

Also, random plot points just weren't followed through on. I wont list them here but seriously.

I wouldn't recommend.

I wasn't enjoying the characters or writing of this, and I had figured out what was going to happen by chapter two.

Bit of a stretch…but I don’t really know any powerful wealthy families who do anything to keep their secrets buried. It was a fast paced read but it was just okay for me. None of the characters are extremely likeable. And it was a bit much…this fam was weird but what In-laws aren’t?
