enjoyable, cute. I liked the heroine nearly all the time. I have almost zero interest in reading a book about the asshat younger twin brother if she's planning on writing it.

This was a fun historical romance. I really enjoyed Merry as a character, I loved her spunk and how she tries to do the right thing, but doesn't always get everything exactly right. I also really liked Trent as a character and enjoyed watching the two of them grow and change together. It was also a unique story that I really liked.

Loved it. Glad that there was redemption and not an overly long belaboring of getting the two together. Also, the included excerpts of the Essex sisters made me want to read those books again.

Love the book, but the audio is just fine. Not bad, but not my favorite.
My rating is like 4.5 but I rounded up for goodread! I enjoyed Eloisa James writing. I recommend trying the audiobook the narrator was wonderful and brought the book to life.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I do not remember a villain that I have disliked as much as Cedric. He was despicable, in the best way. And Trent was wonderful. I lobed ow noble he was, trying to avoid his feelings because he did not want to hurt his brother or Merry. I was charmed by how he fought his feelings once they were married. Watching him come to grips with himself was adorable, and exactly what the story needed. I cannot say enough good things for this story or this series. However, it did seem a little disjointed from the others in the series; none of the characters from the previous books played a role, and only Villiers was mentions (and that was more about his fashion than anything).
