This story really hit close to home for me. The setting—a family cabin in the wilderness—felt so familiar, and I deeply connected with the FMC’s relationship with her parents. I actually cried at the end because it stirred up so many personal emotions.
The writing wasn’t always the strongest, but it definitely hit me in the feels. Devney Perry captured something tender and real here, and despite a few rough edges, it’s a story that will stay with me.

Trigger warning parent with cancer lol. Trying to lose myself in a cowboy romance had me bawling so that’s cool. Also wish I was as rich as Indy
