this book was pretty enjoyable. it was definitely spooky (at some parts more than others) but there were still plenty of lighthearted moments just between our two sweet main characters. i loved their dynamic and was glad that there was no
silly and unnecessary breakup
. things got a little less engaging for me towards the end for some reason but i would definitely like to continue with this series and witness levi and blue’s relationship as it grows :)

I don't normally go for fantasy mm books, but I gave this one a shot because it's Lily Morton. She was my introduction to the world of mm romance books. I do not regret that decision.

The book was beautifully written, the story was engaging and I couldn't put the book down until I finished it. Who needs sleep

Wow

What a great start to another series by the incomparable Lily Morton! Great ghost story, full of suspense and intrigue, and the love story fits so seamlessly into the whole. Perfection

Cute! The ghost stuff was a little obvious and corny but in a good way.

This was a fun little ghost story, though I started feeling bad for the ghost. He just wasn't very good at his job if he couldn't get these two buffoons to join him in the afterlife. Not for lack of trying. 🙈

I liked Levi and Blue. They were nice together, and even though I think Blue opened up a bit too quickly given his background, they did work well together. Work as in relationship, not defeating ghosts. They were crap at that. Levi supposedly even watched Supernatural and not once did that fool suggest salting and burning. They go out to find books to give them more info on the house and then don't read them. They decide to stay in a hotel at one point until they figure out what's going on in the house, but after their bookstore trip, they're right back in the house. They cleanse the house, which works pretty well, and then never do it again. I'd being doing that every day. Hell, three times a day. And I'd also be
taking down that wall in the cellar as soon as I was done with that first cleansing. Clearly, there was something hidden there the ghost didn't want them to find. And I certainly would not be going into the house on the anniversary of the ghost's murder if that makes it super strong. There was zero reason for them to do that. They could have just as easily waited an extra day to return to the house to find whatever it was under the floorboards.

I'm feeling generous, so I'm giving this three stars, though it's probably really a high 2 stars.
