You know, this really could have been so cute. Had it been 150-200 pages less and had the start of Riley's attraction not been hyper-focused on sex toys sparking a sexual reaction to Gianna I could have really gotten on board here, but sadly this book was so fucking boring. The flashbacks were mostly insignificant. I think the only truly important flashbacks were their initial fight, their reconciliation, and the moments about their family. I honestly could not tell you anything about the MFing plot here...I was just so far gone from being able to connect to these two characters. Riley just came across as highly neurotic, which I don't hate lol, but I could not tell you anything else about her other than she liked boys and then realized she likes Gianna - maybe other women too idk - and she had a twin who she did not seem close to at all imo. And Gianna was basically a hot supermodel kid with shit parents who could effortlessly float around the room and harbored a very very big crush on her best friend.

I liked that this was long term friends to lovers - like they were friends for soooo long. I enjoyed that. I enjoyed that they seemingly had a band of good friends, although how good are they if you MUST hide your fucking from them lol. I liked that their relationship was so deeply rooted in friendship. The last 10-15% of the book actually made me tear up a little bit but then I was reminded that these were essentially people I knew nothing about so it took away from how beautiful this could have been.

I didn't really care for either lead, the story was way too long and quite boring, the plot didn't need to exist but my gosh these women came across so bland. Maybe it's because as a POC I find it difficult to relate to blonde white women, idk.

Good bones but bad execution. I would not have finished this if I were reading it. Thank goodness for audiobooks and my inability to not finish after I've taken myself past the 40% mark.

Oh, their sex was hot so we loved that. I will say I've found several Sapphic sex scenes to be lackluster and these were great.

The story definitely had some sweet and fun moments. I do think it could have been a bit shorter and I guess the FWB trope isn't really for me. I also kind of disliked one of the main characters in the beginning, but it got better as the story progressed.

Oh man! Gianna! My heart. I was swept away into Gianna side of the story. It was a sweet love story overall, but man Gianna‘s side quest was just a shot in the heart.

I enjoyed this book however, I feel like it could have been about 150 pages shorter. It seemed never to end.

It's a cute sapphic romance with some good humor. The MCs were both cute and funny and had a little spice. It goes back and forth between when they met and now. They have stayed best friends for over 10 years, and at a Christmas party, a gift mix-up sparks something else.

It's a cute romance with some annoying side characters.

the reason it’s so long is because every single scene is dragged out to the point where I no longer care because we cannot just get to the point
