I wish this wasn't 2 stories in one... I like the authors side of the story, not so much his novel. I was interested until 3/4 through. I was hoping it would get better, but unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite book.

The kind of ending that leaves you speechless and sobbing. Would read again a million times and have the same reaction. Forever in love with this love story.

Full disclosure, this was a bit disjointed for me. I borrowed the audio from Libby and didn't finish it in time. They took it back at 69%. Then I looked up free books on audible and this was one! So I picked up where I left off.
I was not a fan of the narrators 👀 I probably would prefer an eyeball read with this one especially with the dual timeline jumps.
RY is the queen of making you fall for characters and ripping your heart out with the drama. This one was twisty! I did enjoy figuring it out as details were uncovered.
MEMORABLE QUOTES:
* There's power in silence, grace in holding your head high
* A love like yours doesn't die that easily 🤍

I loved reading this book! It was such a heartwarming story and I loved the way it was written. I’m a fan of books about war and this book was the perfect mix between contemporary romance and historical romance. The chapters switch between these two timelines and I loved both stories.
In this book you follow Georgia in the present time and Scarlett during World War II. Georgia has to start over after she gave up almost everything in a brutal divorce. The time has finally come for Georgia to finish her grandmother’s final novel. However, the best-selling author who thinks he’s the one to finish the story is insanely arrogant but just as good looking. Noah Harrison wants to come up with the best ending for this book, and he vows to make this happen.
I loved both timelines and I sometimes even got the feeling that it switched too often between the two. Sometimes I was so immersed in one story and then the next chapter was a different pov. I honestly loved all the characters and the story felt so real. I loved the writing of Rebecca Yarros and I don’t think I ever smiled this often while reading a book. I didn’t see the ending coming and although I wished it would be a different ending, I don’t think it would be as good of a book. I do think the book could’ve been some chapters shorter since it did take me a while to finish, but I still enjoyed it very much. I’ll definitely be reading more books written by Rebecca Yarros!
