Really interesting biography of a truly remarkable performer. At times heartbreaking, but also really fascinating stories and aspects of his life I knew nothing about.

I was disappointed to have to read about the conflict between Robin's last wife and his children after he was gone... I felt like it didn't belong in this story as it wasn't about Robin!

Other than that, I was very interested in the course of Robin's life and learned much about him that I didn't know. I still miss the man.

A powerful insight into the rise and fall of one of the greatest entertainers of my lifetime. Helps one put into perspective one’s own life experiences and appreciate that however meager those experiences may be they are what defines the life experience. Not so much wealth and fame, but the goals that are accomplished and how we deal with our own shortfalls.

Very well read by the author who has mastered the voices representing the many facets of Williams personality.

Weeping. That's all I can say.

I loved Robin Williams, so this was predetermined to be good for me. However, I wasn't prepared for the walk down memory lane of all his performances and the smiles they would put on my face. Overall, this is a sad story due to Robin's ending, but I was glad to work my way back through all the smiling times.

If you loved Mr. Williams as I did, check this out. Even if you didn't love him, the details in this book may change your mind. What a wonderful talent and PERSON that we lost in 2014.

If you were ever a fan of Robin Williams, this intimate portrait of his life from his childhood to after his passing, you will enjoy this book. Yes, the author goes into a lot of extra detail at points, but all-in-all, the details build this individuals immensely impact-filled short life. Reading this made me think hard about how we treat celebrities and how much the culture we create around them can make or break them.

I was not a fan of Robin Williams but I was curious enough about him to read this book. Unfortunately I did not gain any new understanding or gain a different perspective. Decently written but not particularly enlightening.

A great look into the life of Robin Williams. ❤️

This was a very good look into the life of a man who you really only saw one side of. To hear about his shy side, his upbringing, and his criticisms was very eye opening. I’m very interested in a marathon of his films now.

Slow to start but once rolling hard to put down.
