Not my favourite Lucinda book sadly but can’t win ‘em all! Still love her writing & was a quick easy read but it didn’t feel as dark or interesting as her others. Dare I say it felt a bit tame for our Berry! Lol!

The book started out great. It developed a good mystery with a cult connection. The middle of the book seemed to drag with the same types of scenes reiterated over and over. The book picked up again in the latter part as the mystery began to be solved. The ending was very abrupt and I was surprised to find that it had concluded, although I was glad to be finished so I could move on to another book.

meh. i saw the ending of this coming… i hate it when i can guess the *big* plot twist. i felt like there were some major holes in the plot and a lot of extra “fluff” that wasn’t needed. i felt sorry for kate till about half way through… then her personality completely switched and she became almost the villain of the story… i felt like this story had great potential but completely fell short. no real *shocking* moments… no crazy plot twist… just left me feeling ver underwhelmed.
