This was an interesting cult plot. I did not see the ending coming at all, so enjoyed that twist. The narrators of the audiobook were great and I listened to it all in one session. I liked the switched perspectives of characters and timelines. Definitely added to the overall understanding of what happened. Would definitely recommend.

I find stories about cults to be fascinating and love to get into the minds of the individuals that join them. This book did just that while also diving into the lives of those impacted from these groups. I liked the mystery of this one and the raw emotions throughout. However, the ending was a bit abrupt for me and I wanted just a little bit more. Overall, a very interesting and dark read.

I assumed she was talking to Margo on the phone late at night, definitely not Abner.
I knew when Abbi showed her the picture of him, it would result in something terrible, but not like that! Super good book. 10/10 would recommend.
