The pacing in this volume was rough. Let's establish that it was incredibly cute. Wei is a fun protagonist who is trying his best to statisfy the needs of his shippers. But as I am trying to remember what happened, there is very little???  Like, it is post the fight with the stepmother, the live stream, and them officially starting to fake date? That's all, I think. I think this is very much a set-up volume, which while fine, makes it a bit rough when it comes to pacing. But I really did like the art-style, their interactions, and how expressive Wei is a protagonist. It's more-so that there was little progression in this volume and that I want more.

This volume feels a little like it's on the weaker side for me after the first was such a strong start. Overall it wasn't bad, though. The stakes feel pretty low and the progress minimal, but hopefully the next volume might have more meat to it!
