Couldn’t wait for it to end. Why can’t a female character exist without a love interest? Disappointed as I loved the Pretties series.

Back in the world of uglies!!! This is classic high quality young adult fiction. Fun, captures the insecurities and strengths fighting for dominance in its teenage main characters. Can't wait for the rest of the series. Just when I thought I knew better than to start a series before it was finished.

I got this book as an ARC at Bookcon, and it brought me back into the Uglies universe beautifully. I didn't need the old series to love this book, but it's casual nods to the original series is wonderful at tying the worlds together. The end of this book left me dying for the next one!

I read this in less than a day. It's been years since I read the Uglies series so there are probably a few small references I missed.... but wow, I really enjoyed this book. Now I can't wait to get back to the library for book 2!
