I found this book to be decent. It kept me entertained and interested, and it even managed to genuinely surprise me at the end, which isn't the easiest thing to do. But the characters were a tough swallow for me, and in a thriller you need to care about the characters a lot or what's even the point. I look forward to more books by Riley Sager

so good! read it in one sitting. the pacing in the early/middle was a little off to me though which is why it's not 5 stars, even though I ate this book up it just didn't feel like 5 stars to me, but it is a great quick read.

Took until 3/4 in for me to really... care? Main character was kinda boring for a survivor of mass murder. But the end was incredible and I didn't predict it at all until the very end. My stance on police remains.

as much as I wanted to like this book, I just couldn't get into it.

starting off it is a very slow burn-ish thriller which is not the root of the problem. It's more of the fact that this book was too predictable for me. From the start I could tell who the actual killer was and not for a second did I believe it was actually Sam/Tina I want to say that it shouldn't be a problem for me but it is sadly.

And the whole situation with Coop could have been predicted by anyone, at least that's what it feels like. I wasted days reading this book because of how highly recommended it was by everyone else I saw reading it and was thoroughly disappointed because of how long it was.

Something this short usually takes me 1-2 days and 4 at most, so I'm still trying to figure out why it took me almost a week to finish this in which that time could have been filled with things that I feel are actually worth my time.

This could be like the Lucy Foley thing where I liked one book and not the other so hopefully the next one will be less disappointing.

An enjoyable Riley Sager. The final girl concept is used well, and as always, there’s a fun twist ending.

4.5. Loved the premise. Not sure I loved the twist. That's why I shied away from 5 stars
