3 stars, would have been 3.5/4 stars except I found the ending and reveal of the killer unbelievable and stupid .

Here's the thing: this book is GREAT. It's a fantastic thriller that more than meets my requirements which are: three plot twists towards the end. This one keeps you guessing throughout, even all through the well-crafted flashback/modern-day dual climax with a whodunnit where everyone is so constantly suspicious I honestly didn't know how it would end up. Quincy is of course an unreliable narrator, necessary for any thriller with the word "Girl" in the title these days, so there's always the suspicion of WHAT IF SHE IS A KILLER but everyone around her is so suspicious ANYONE COULD BE THE KILLER and it's just great. The climactic sequence, going back and forth between past and present, is a masterclass in How To Resolve Conflict Dramatically And Suspensefully. Super recommend! Excited to read more by this author.

3 stars.
Not sure why I didn’t like this one more. I think it was poor relationship-building. I didn’t believe the relationships between... well, anyone. And the ending combusted all of them for me. Wah wah.

Some very unexpected twists! It was a little slower paced than I would’ve liked, but an overall enjoyable thriller.

Third book of Riley Sager that I’ve read and 3 for 3. Sager has quickly become one of my favorite authors. His thriller books are fun, quick, fast paced reads that you can’t put down and Final Girls delivers that. I mean I was hooked from the very first chapter and while I didn’t get too invested until about halfway through, it was still a fun read to find out what happened to the main character, Quincy, and how she became a final girl. The ending, while I did see coming, was still very fun to find out and have everything pieced together and I really enjoyed reading it definitely had my heart racing. This book read like a slasher movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Making my way through Sager’s books has been a very fun journey so far. Ps why aren’t their movies? Would love to see some of his books adapted on the screen.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This story kept me hooked troughout the book. It follows girls that were to only survivors to horrible deeds. You follow one girl so many years later. One of the surviver girls was found dead. So one of the other ones that survived, appears on the main characters doorstep. She doesn't know why but takes her in anyway. Things really started to get strange from that point. So I kept turning the pages to know what would happen next.
