DID NOT FINISH

Way too slow burn. No hint of romance

Not what I expected in a good way

First off: there is little to no romance in this book. However, I’m so glad it was categorized here so I stumbled across it. I adore all the guys and want to be Lexie when I grow up. What a great read!

Thank you Sharon J for recommending this book series to me. This was a fantastic read. If you are a fan of reverse harem books such as C.L. Stone's Academy series (Ghost Birds series), then this book will not disappoint you. This follows the story of a girl named Lexie and the five guys that she lives with. Lexie is a fierce heroine. She is not afraid of anything, and speaks her mind. I love her so much. The five guys, well, they are very protective of her. My favourite guy is Zeke!!! He is the best to me and I love the way he calls her baby. This is the beginning of another amazing yet long series. I can't wait to read Book 2. Overall, an amazing read.

2024 re-read
Okay, definitely more cringe than I remember, but I'm exhausting with little brain power, so it is working for me.

Absolutely amazing! This is for sure a slower burn. One of my favorite reads. Seriously, I picked up this series and read the 7 books that are out. Biggest book hangover ever afterwards. I just want more of this series.

After a re-read a year later, I decided to bump my rating up to four stars. On my first read, I think I went in with the wrong expectations.
I usually read high fantasy where most characters are supernatural, so when I started this book, I thought some of the characters might be shifters, especially with mentions of dragons.
Sadly, that wasn’t the case, but on my re-read, I realized that the book is actually very good. The characters, plot, pacing, and interactions between them all worked well together.

What irked me the most was the “I’m not like other girls” vibe from the FMC, but I understand that she’s a 17-year-old, so it makes sense for her character. This only started to bother me toward the end, so it wasn’t a big issue.

I’m definitely excited to continue the series, especially to see how the character dynamics evolve and if there will be more supernatural elements introduced.

Love this series. Everything about it.

DESPITE the grammar and spelling issues I had with this book I absolutely adored it. Great story

I am partial to this book given that the main characters name is Lexie. It feels very much like a fan fiction that got published but my friend and I started our friendship by bonding over this book so it definitely has a special meaning.
