I really enjoyed learning more about the Urgralgra and the mysterious Angela -- though I do have more questions about her now, as I'm sure she would enjoy. An excellent, quick read

Cute short stories from the world of Alagaseia! The first short story was in Murtaugh, so I wonder if they will have more books based on the other short stories? Either way, it was nice to go back to one of my favorite worlds.

Reading this was like coming home. It's good to be home.

Hard to believe I first read Eragon in 4th grade and I'm completing my 5th year of undergrad. Thank you, Christopher Paolini, for the homecoming. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was mostly just lip service, I think. The stories were fine, and it would be a fun beach read. But it doesn't really add much to the character and world building of Eragon. I'm not mad I read it, and it makes sense they put it out since Murtagh wasn't out until 2023. But it was mostly nice fluff. Read it if you're already a fan!

This was definitely just a quick dip into Alagaësia and it was interesting to hear a bit about Eragon and Saphira and where they are after Inheritance. However, I'm just not a big fan of short stories as I'm always left wanting. It was the same for this book. But that's more of a personal preference than an actual criticism of the book itself. Although I will say the story about the Urguals and the Worm dragged on forever with a somewhat unsatisfying ending.
