The stories were pleasant, but overall, it felt like a big step back for him. It’s closer to Eragon than Brisngr in terms of the “maturity of the prose”.

Awesome to read something from Christopher Paolini again. Looking forward to the next opportunity!

Short stories linked

This is a set of three stories but narrated and linked by Eragon. It's a fun diversion and interesting look at characters from original books.
adventurous

I liked hoping back in to see some of our characters but I would've loved to see more of Murtagh and Angela and Worm went on too long.

I’m preparing to read Murtagh this year - I can’t decide whether I should reread the original three or just dive straight in (it has been 13 years!). This was a wonderful way back into Eragon’s world.

Cute and easy read about what Eragon is up to a year or so after the events of the fourth book.

I love the story of the Fork and it makes me so excited for Murtaugh’s book because I would read the heck out of what happened before and after the events of the Fork.

I thought the story of the Witch was going to be a little more, and as an Angela stan, I wanted to learn more about her.

The story of the Worm was so interesting. Every time the Urgals or the Kull told their ancestors stories during the main series I was always so interested, so I am glad to have gotten a very long story from them about the Worm.

Absolutely adore this collection of short stories presented as they are told to Eragon.
