I really liked this book! I don't think Karen Swan can ever disappoint me. Even though I have only read one other book of hers, I'm sure now that I want to read everything she's ever written and will ever write! Going into this book, I thought that it was going to be a cute summery romance. At first, I found it slow and it took a few chapters for me to get fully engrossed into it. But once the plot started to unveil and I got to know the characters better, I was hooked. I would describe this book as a mystery disguised as a romance. Yes, it has some romance in it which I was a really big fan of, but the biggest plot in this book is the mystery aspect of it. While reading it I was trying to figure what truly happened and who to trust. Some plot twists I saw them coming, others I just had a vague idea about them and there were also some that I didn't expect at all. The main character, Chloe, did frustrate me at times
SpoilerI don't know how she could forgive Tom when she thought he cheated on her for a second time with a different woman. But of course I understood later, with Tom's true motives being unraveled, why the author chose to take that path with this story.
I also found Joe very charming. I really liked the descriptions of Greece and how beautifully it was portrayed. Being Greek myself, it made me very happy. All in all, I'd say that it was a brilliant story with amazing writing and a really intriguing plot. And I think it was a great summer read.

This was more like 2.5 stars. A little disappointed for a Karen Swan book. She’s an author I autobuy. Most of this book was just ok for me. There was nothing that really caught my attention. It wasn’t until 300 pages in that I was like ok this is good! That last 120 pages was good! So I rounded it up to 3 stars.

I'm so mad that this wasn't the cheesiest thing I've ever read. It was actually really good and I'm conflicted LOL Then again, I live for cheesy, so maybe I have a high tolerance for it now. I do wish there was more that actually took place in Greece, but overall it was really enjoyable. I knew what was going on from the beginning and I called most of the twists, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment in the end. It wasn't quite five-stars for reasons I can't quite put my finger on, but I would definitely recommend!

I haven't read a novel in years until I got this book at the airport. I read in 2 days because I couldn't put it down! Such a great story! Great characters, great plot and I loved to be able to imagine a trip to Greece. One of the things I most enjoy in romantic stories is a good development between the two main characters, and this book certainly gave me what I desired.

It took me aaaaages to get through this book. I definitely considered throwing in the towel. I didn’t like any of the characters. Rich people and people catering to rich people are the worst! Hundreds of pages later, I finally became interested in the plot. I even made it to can’t-put-this-book-down-to-go-to-sleep level of engagement. By the end of the book I realized I had forgotten bits from the beginning when I wasn’t yet invested in the storyline. All of my predictions turned out to be wrong and I was surprised by the ending. It was all wrapped up a little too neatly for my liking. Overall I did enjoy the book but if you choose to read it, I would recommend that you power through it quickly.

I loved this! I picked it up thinking it would be a nice cute, easy summer read, but things got really intense really fast! The world of billionaires and corruption isn't what I was expecting, but I truly enjoyed it.
