So, Indie Writers, this is how promo works: I got this e-mail with a link to a test to find out which books of these authors would be perfect for me. I’m a sucker for tests, so I took it and at the end this book was recommended. It took me a whole five minutes to visit amazon and order the booklet. So, your promo: I promise, it’s working!

And I really don’t regret getting this little book. It was a very quick read and a very short one and yet the atmosphere crafted in this book is amazing. The mixture of heartbreak, pain, stress and grief with hope and determination was amazingly well written and well done and I really felt for Louise, the dilemmas she faced and the choices she made.

That’s also because the author really managed to build a world without going into too many details. We get a clear image of the situation on earth (probably explored later?) and the situation on Mars. It’s quite an accomplishment to make the world building, especially in dystopian sci-fi, work in such a short book and I’m really impressed.

Especially because also the characters, surprisingly enough, got a personality of their own. Of course, we get to know Louise best, because we’re in her head and following her daily routines, but despite the plot we also get a clear image of the six man she’s bonding with and how attached she feels to them because of different reasons.

This was a really well done short story!

This is a short story, that I assume is part of a series, based on the Six Swans fairy tale. It is character, setting, and backstory building. I found the premise intriguing and Louise is an easy character to fall in love with. She is strong, determined, and very lonely, and I love the way she interacted with the men. I can't wait to see where this story goes.

This book is a diary of a woman who is last man standing on mars and her story.

Interesting, quick, easy to read story with a lot of ranting of an isolated woman. But I'm glad there to more to come.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I'm not entirely sure about this series yet. The main character was a little off-putting in her actions, but that might have been because she was slowly going insane? I'll keep reading to find out what happens but I'm going in cautious.

Louise is awesome and a bit crazy. She is all alone on mars except for 6 men in pods. She creates this amazing life with the men all in her head. This story is both beautiful and heartbreaking. Can't wait for the next one.

Poor Louise. She's all by herself on Mars with six men from earth, in pods. She knows if she opens their pods, they will die from the same virus that killed the rest of her team.

There is a mental health aspect to the story that makes you feel like everything you're reading could be a delusion. I was leery going into the series because I knew it was based on the brothers Grimm fairytales of the six swans.

The premise states this is a reverse harem, but there are no interpersonal relations in this first novella.

This is a great Mars related reverse harem short story, about Louise and 6 new settlers.
I love how it relates to The Drowning series, but from another character with a completely different storyline, as well as a twist on the six swans story (I love the adaptations of that story).

Louise is the last person left on Mars after a disease kills everyone else. It’s up to her to keep everything running and find a cure for the men asleep in space pods. This was such a good read. I really felt her crazy and felt myself going along with her

Very disappointed at where the story ended. It pretty much just set up the premise for the story. I felt like I read a sample of a book.
