One of the best historical fiction novels I’ve read in a while. I could not put this book down! The writing, the atmospheric settings that sink you into the story, the multi-dimensional characters that felt lived-in, and the romances that felt as real and as they were fantastical. Amazing story. I really loved it. Fantastic twists and turns at the end and the writing is glorious. 100% Recommended!

This was hard to rate. I struggled to find motivation to read this story. I felt like I just was missing a lot of information and not knowing a lot about Russia I feel like I missed out on a lot of things.
