This is an okay read but definitely not the best in the series by a long chalk. It's just too much of a road trip with murders suddenly appearing without rhyme or reason. It feels as if the spark might have gone out of this one. On the plus side, it's great to have Ambrose (Monk's brother) in a large role here, plus the scene towards the end where Monk leaps to Ambrose's rescue is just fabulous. I wish the rest of the novel had been like that!

One of my favorites in this series. Not only was the road trip with Ambrose highly entertaining, the solution of the murders was particularly clever.

Too much description, not enough murder mystery. The ending saved it and earned it one extra star.

Yet again, Lee Goldberg has written a compassionate and funny portrait of OCD and anxiety disorder not to mention an awesome mystery. I hate that I can only give each one 5 stars. The newest one comes out June 7...looks like I'll be rolling pennies, but I'm getting it somehow.
