I came into this book with very low expectations, but it was really enjoyable and fast-paced. I can’t help feeling bitter that a lot of this backstory and character development wasn’t included in Queen of Nothing, but instead had to be shoved in a little spinoff book though.

Loved this! Loved the short stories and the illustrations! I liked Aslog and how she appeared in almost every part of the book.

I loved how we saw how much Cardan loved Jude even from the beginning. I wish there was more!

I liked this, but I didn't love it. Maybe because it was supplementary but I preferred the Folk of the Air series much more. I will admit it gave some interesting insight into Cardan and the reasons why he is the way he is.

A fun, interesting look into what made the cruel fairy prince into who he is. Also threatening your enemy with your ferocious powerful wife? Godtier.
