So you mean to tell me... A man hikes across the country... for a woman... meets that woman..... has a relationship with that woman........ and we're supposed to think this is... sweet? Thibault also tells Beth's son to keep a secret from her. Big no no. Both Keith and Logan suck. Zeus, Ben, and Nana were the only likable characters.

It was an easy read, and the banter was good enough, which saved the rating from being lower. However, the writing wasn't the best. The chapters were titled from a certain character's point of view, but almost every chapter, it would start through, say, Beth's perspective, but then we'd also get some parts in the chapter through Logan's perspective... Which is weird, because there was at least one chapter titled with two character's names, so Sparks clearly had no reservations about naming it multiple names.

Overall, Sparks' stories stem from really bad tropes that we're supposed to find "romantic", but are just scary and manipulative when portrayed in the real world.
