I won the ebook through a Storygraph giveaway so thanks for that!
Overall there is a good story hidden there, at least good character story but too much b!tches and other cursing for me. But with the title as it was what did I expect. There was also some weird subplots that I could have done without.

One star just for the effort. There was no main plot, a lack of vocabulary and to many f… words. I wish next try to be better, best of luck to the author.

The few spelling mistakes really bothered me. Certain scenes were questionable at best. On the bright side, the romance was adorable.

We're Not Queens, We're Bitches is an easy, cosy, light read. If I'm honest, I did have somewhat of a hard time getting into this book. Firstly, because of the insane amount of profanity on the first page alone.* Secondly, because of the uneven style of writing - luckily, this got better later on. The writing is pretty straightforward and, emotionally, it reads as if it's written by a teenager or young adult. This took some getting used to, but one could argue that it also the strength of the story: the banter of the protagonists feels realistic for their age and life phase. It reminds me of how I spoke with my friends during my own late teens and early twenties (minus the sex talk and the extreme profanity).
The book would have gained emotional depth if it would have started earlier on the timeline, with Ashley's struggles with alcohol and partying. Instead, this is a purely uplifting story about the way up from the bottom of the pit. Because of this, it's relaxing to read. I liked the love story, as well. The protagonists developed a secure and emotional relationship before becoming romantically involved - aren't those the best?
Overall, the book could have been improved with more proofreading and editing before being published,** but it was an entertaining and cosy read nevertheless. I can imagine the story bringing comfort to young people who have been through a rough time: whether it's dealings with abuse, addiction, or crime. The conflicting feelings and negative self image it portrays are realistic, but, above all, the underlying message is one of hope: despite whatever you did and how flawed you are, things CAN become better.
TL;DR: not a great work of literature, but - if you can deal with the writing style and cussing - can be relaxing, comforting and entertaining to read.
------------------------------
* The characters literally cuss in every sentence, and it's not just the main character, it's everyone, throughout the entire book. It's clearly a conscious choice by the author, but so much cussing makes it lose its meaning, and it feels like it's done purely as an easy way to make the characters more edgy. Not everyone will talk like that, it is not very realistic and feels over the top. However, I guess that the profanity also serves as an antidote for the love story becoming too sappy.
** For instance, the name of one of the protagonists, Crystal, is misspelled as 'Cristal' at several places in the book, to the point that I started to wonder whether this was some sort of code or would turn out to have some special meaning later on. This was not the case. If I catch this on my first time reading, why did nobody do so before printing it?
Note
I won We're Not Queens, We're Bitches in a Storygraph giveaway. I don't know the author nor their books; I participated mainly because I want to read more LGBTQIA+ books.
