I love a short story collection and that especially includes horror.  Even as an adult, I thought this collection of children's horror stories was terrifying!  The illustrations at the beginning of each story were cool, some of them were super creepy.  There's creative storytelling in that there are poems, one is told in text messages and one as a stage play.  I would recommend this for middle grade students (the 5th grade students I see regularly love horror!).  While there are content warnings (it is horror after all), I believe that it is all still appropriate for young readers.  My top stories are "You're It,"  "Lucky," and "The Friend."
