This shifter romance was an enjoyable read. It's the story of Kora, who has moved to Estes Park, CO from LA to hide out from  something traumatic in her past and to open a children's bookstore, and Desi, who has recently retired from military service and moved home to be near his family in Estes Park where he grew up while he gets his new security business off the ground.  Desi meets Kora while helping out his brother (who is a busy dad of newborn twins) and in doing so realizes that his bear is not only really drawn to Kora, but that she's in fact his fated mate. There's also an integral part of the storyline involving treasure hunters coming to town for a YouTube based program and through that, Kora's property is suspected of housing treasure so many people are interested in checking out her bookstore.  Kora ends up getting in some trouble with people involved in this and unfortunately this also triggers some of her trauma-related issues.  She and Desi need to overcome this to see if they can make this relationship work.  This story was cute, had some nice heat and chemistry between the main characters, and the side characters (who were from earlier books, that I haven't read yet) were enjoyable.  The audiobook, which I listened to, was well produced and the narrator did a nice job.
