This intricately illustrated book is a celebration of imagination and love. A young boy's imagination takes him on a journey inspired by his memories of his grandfather.

"He followed the golden fish to the Library Islands,
where a hundred bookish birds were roosting."

I thought that was going to be my favorite spread. If you know me you know that that is pretty much what my utopia would be. But then I turned the page and was amazed anew. I took a moment o soak it in before turning the page. My breath left my body. My jaw hung open. This illustration was more stunning than the previous two! It was luminous and whimsical and had that special magic one expects from the Fan brothers.

This book is wondrous!

Stunning illustrations. It's a fun adventures story, as well. Great for storytime for the kiddoes.

We loved this book, full of adventure while also tying in the loss of his grandfather. Very well written and illustrated.

Gorgeous illustrations. Reminds me of Where the Wild Things Are.

I think this is for the older end of JE readers.
