Another fun entry in the series. I preferred the first half to the latter, given how focused it was in Maomao improving her medical knowhow despite societal and political barriers. The supporting cast in this portion of the light novel is also top notch, with Yao and En'en being two of my favorite characters in the entire series. The second part is a bit more dry, with much political exposition and moving pieces around to set the stage for the next entry in the series, as well as probably the least exciting conclusion to one of these I've read so far. I'm ok with the Jinshi-Maomao relationship developing but I don't think the way it's handled here merits its end-of-book role. Chue is also great btw, I do appreciate us getting more hyper competent goofballs.
