another favorite❤️

I love seeing maomao’s medical journey it was the highlight of this book. The different perspectives and morals that came with practicing surgery was interesting to read about, I wasn’t expecting to see a lot of the conflicting thoughts and opinions on the practice of surgery so that was nice. That last chapter though? maomao definitely cares A LOT and not just for jinshi. In the previous novels, we may not see her act on it but she’s thinking about shisui(especially this one whenever insects are mentioned) and xiaolan in the most random of times and i love that we’re seeing more of that from her.
