It’s scary how I breeze through this series. At this rate, I’m going to finished the remaining volumes before the new one is released.

I feel like vol. 9 is a little bit slow-paced compared to the previous one. However, it made up in terms of exploring to new ‘territories’, even venturing to a familiar place once again—Empress Gyokuyou’s homeland.

My favorite things are:

Maomao started to learn surgery. The practical examinations were fun to follow!
Taomei appearence! The Ma clan showcased their characterful members.
Traveling by sea, yeay! (Maybe not so much fun to those who are sea sick).
Maomao whacked Jinshi at his request then proceeded to kissed the redness and pain away (I instantly gasped).
Then Jinshi asked—with a little bit begging—her to do it uagain to his scarred cheek.

Can’t wait to devour the next volume!
