Found the pacing a little all over the place this time around (it was a quicker read but felt slow in some parts). I enjoyed reading the sections where Maomao is in training to be a physician as well as the progression of the political elements of the plot. Wasn’t honestly a fan of Chue sorry, her writing was incredibly..tropey and ridiculous.

Not a bad volume, but it did drag in some parts, potentially to setup a new arc in this series.
