A Lovely Tale to End A Saga | Review of 'Fyre' (Septimus Heap, #7) - Cyn's Workshop

GAH! What a perfect ending to a perfect, wonderful, highly entertaining and well-written series! Angie wrapped up things so nicely, while also whetting my appetite for her new series. She brought everything together is this book (both plot lines/points and characters), which made it a very satisfying read. I can't properly explain how much I've grown to love this series. Angie is definitely now one of my favourite authors, and this series is definitely in my top five series of all time. I'm sad that this chapter of Septimus's life is over (in book form), but I know he's in the next series, so at least I'll get to read more about him (and hopefully a lot of the other characters from this series) in it. I'll be waiting impatiently until then. ;D

After all these years it is over, I've enjoyed these books a lot, altough I must say that Fyre wasn't as good as I expected or wanted it to be. In any case thank you Angie Sage for the adventures!

Loooooved it! My favorite part was finally getting a time period: 12,004 AD. This only leaves me with one question- obviously, the world belonged to technology, just like our, but sometime in the future something happens to reset culture to medieval times, but technology never fully recovered because magic came into the picture. So the question is, HOW did magic get into the picture?

That was a really good end to a series. Really. The characters grew, and changed. The plot never repeated itself, and even connected all together in the end. And a follow-up plot was introduced, which I am very much looking forward to. That was a really great series. C=

This was a great conclusion to a wonderful series! It leaves the readers ready for the next series: the TodHunter Moon Trilogy (which is great so far, by the way)! With twins, Magyk, Alchemie, Physik, Darke, mysteries puddles, and much more, the last Septimus Heap book does not disappoint!

It's taken me almost an entire year, but I've FINALLY finished the series! I'm glad I reread these books (or, in this case, read it for the first time), but I'm also very excited to be done with them.
'Fyre' was a good ending to the Septimus Heap stories and tied everything up nicely, but I'm not sure that the individual narrative for the book as a whole was particularly memorable - I can barely remember the villain's names and I just finished it.

Some overall thoughts on the series:
- My main issue is that in every book without fail, the plot described in the blurb takes around half of the book's length to come up. The first half or so seems to be detailing how the characters deal with the events of the last book - although some of this is necessary, it often feels like it just goes on for too long and the actual action doesn't go on for long enough.
- There is so much more description than I remember there being when I first read these books! Everything is so richly painted and visualised so wonderfully. I thought that aspect of it was great.
