3 - was ok
This book follows Prince Arren, who has come to the archmage Ged Sparrowhawk to figure out why wizards across Earthsea are losing their magic.
Their journey takes them across all sorts of lands, to the very ends of the earth, meeting people who were no longer mages and those who are necromancers. The pair of them find that it is dark magic at the source of this, dark magic that would take away magic.
This book was meh. I didn't like a lot of the aimless wandering, and I felt that there was a message in the type of mage that lost their magic. But I don't feel like the message really resounded with me, and felt very empty in the end.
Definitely my least fav in the series so far, so much so that I'm not sure I'll continue it.
